CONNECTICON!!!!!
So Connecticon was pretty awesome as Drakes post already showed. But there is so much that happens at a con as big as connecticon it takes more than one post to contain the pure awesomeness of it all.
Like all Cons Connecticon started out small but it’s grown significantly in just a few short years. Drake and I have been attending Connecticon since it’s first year at it’s current location (the Hartford convention center). The Convention center seemed so big that year and every year since then we’ve shared the center with some other convention. One year it was some kind of big Juggling competition. Another year it was a fly fishing convention. I always wonder what these people must think of us all parading around with our costumes and pocky and the caffeine induced madness in our eyes. But this year even though it’s only the 4th year at the convention center they had outgrown only using half of the facility. They actualy had to take over the entire downstairs so now we have the entire place. In fact they’re so big the convention center along isn’t enough. They had to hold the dances in the ballroom of the attached Marriot.
So as you can see it’s a big convention. Whats nice about it is the fact that while it’s large it hasn’t gotten congested and it’s hasn’t forgotten where it came from. Some larger cons charge crazy amounts of money to attend. Connecticon keeps it reasonable. Also some cons loose focus on what they’re about. Connecticon has many generas represented but it’s never forgotten that it was formed originally as a web comic convention as an alternative to comicon. Webcomicers and Artists in general are given centerstage and there are always some high profile webcomic guests.
Ok ok I know I keep going on about how great connecticon is. Well thats because it is THE BEST convention I’ve ever been to and it’s my favorite by far. Drake and I consider it our home convention, if there is such a thing. But I know you all want to see the pics. So here you go……
Another Connecticon has come and gone and I must say, I think that this was the best one yet! There was a lot more room with the dealer room and the artist colony moved downstairs, opening the whole upstairs to events and panels! I think that this was a great idea and I hope that they utilize the space a lot more next year. On top of everything else, this was the second time that Millionaire Geeks has made an appearance at a convention! Mr.J and I got to meet a whole slew of wonderful geeks who seemed more than eager to take advantage of the resources we have to offer here on our site! We hope to see our efforts reflected in the number of people signing up for our newsletter. If you’re reading this and haven’t signed up yet I highly suggest that you do as we are going to be sending out our first official issue at the end of this month!
So with that being said, there were many pictures taken on our journey and we would like to share them with you. Read on to see!

Now I’m freakin Tired. So I need slome Sleep. Night Night. PEACE OUT Y’ALL!!!
Hello everyone, been awhile since I posted anything on here! I would just like to announce that Millionaire Geeks will be making a second convention appearance! This time we will be at Connecticon in Hartford Connecticut. This is by far the most anticipated event for us here at Millionaire Geeks. We love Connecticon and make it a habit to attend every summer! Located in the Convention Center in Hartford, you won’t find a more convenient spot for a con! Connecticon caters to anime and gamer fans alike with anime screenings playing around the clock and a HUGE gaming room. Also this year the dealer room will be located in the gigantic area downstairs freeing up a whole new area for activites and expanding the dealer room to nearly double what it was last year!
Both Drake and Mr.J of Millionaire Geeks will be attending and they will be handing out pins and fliers and of course information! So feel free to meet them, they will be more than happy to introduce themselves and love hearing from people who show an interest in our site. And like last time, we promise pictures! See you there =)

Hello again! The rest of the pics are in and I’m ready to share the last leg of my journey with you all. I’ll also have you know that today is my birthday, so WOOHOO happy birthday to me! So anyway, without any further ado, here is the rest of my adventure at Port Con Maine 2008!
Well the pictures are in and as promised, we’d like to share them with all of you! Unfortunately Mr.J was unable to attend but in his absence I dove into the world of anime and gaming that was Port Con Maine 2008. I met tons of interesting and fun (not to mention geeky) people who loved our idea and thought it was great that we were targeting information on e-marketing towards geeks. If you attended, perhaps you saw our flyers or even ran into me (I had a name tag with “Drake” on it, go figure!) and had the opportunity to hear first-hand what we do. So without further ado, sit back and hear my tale of every geeks’ favorite pasttime, attending a convention!
Well, we came, we saw, and we conquered! Port Con 2008 was a lot of fun and I’m so glad that we got to attend! This was the first year going for all of us and we had a blast! I hope all of the fun and interesting people that we met at the con come and visit the site. Our flyers caught the attention of many a con-attendee and we were more than happy to answer any questions they had. It seemed to me like many people were eager to become geek entrepreneurs!
And as promised we will be sure to post a collection of pictures that we took while we were there. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to make comments, many many comments!
Next stop, Connecticon 2008! See ya there -.^
It’s been a real exciting few months since Millionaire Geeks made its first appearance on the web! I just love working with Drake and Mr.J and teaching fellow geeks how to make a successful living online!
Well this weekend it’s about to get even more exciting as Millionaire Geeks makes its first appearance at Port Con in Portland Maine! We’ll be handing out flyers to promote the site so if you make it there, keep your eyes peeled for my face on paper (I don’t know, these boys just really seem to like using my image to promote!), I myself am rather impressed at how they came out.
When it’s all said and done we’ll be posting pictures up of our adventure. We know how hungry the geek community is for pictures of great cosplay outfits and I’m sure we’ll see plenty!
Hope to see you there and the Millionaire Geeks Team and I would like to wish you all a Happy Independence Day!
Drake and I went to see Bleach Memories of Nobody in the theater last night. I’ll talk more about the movie itself later in this post but for now I will say it was really freakin awesome. I mean like if they had the DVD available for purchase right there I would have bought 10 copies awesome. If you haven’t seen Bleach: Memories of Nobody I’m afraid it’s no longer in theaters as it was a 2 day only thing, but it’s well worth seeing on DVD. All that being said going to see Bleach in the movies was well worth it, but we had quite an adventure along the way. So epic and amazing that perhaps one day there will be songs to be sung and story’s told round the campfire. However until I write those and pay some minstrels to spread them You’ll have to enjoy the following account.
